The Mako is one of Ocean Rodeo's many revolutionary innovations, ok it may look weird as hell but it has been proven to give one of the smoothest 'chop killing' rides out there. The Mako uses its large 18mm concave to smooth out chop and carve upwind like nothing else! Although not for the hardcore freestyler this board type will be a favorite for those out there that like to cruise, ride in the small messy waves and for those out there with tender knees! Now in it's third year, the kind remaind pretty much unchanged in appearance and still retains it's large deckpad and symetrical foot straps. For those of you looking for a light wind twintip that will also double as an awesome wave machine on those bigger days. Long live the King!

MAKO FREERIDE

For those of you that loved the freeride range of Mako in the previous years there are now four models.

150 x 40 & 140 x 40, Mutant/Freeride. New for 2012, the largest Freeride Makos have both Mutant and Twintip set-up options like the mako king with alternate strap positions and fin positioning.

135 x 37 & 130 x 135. With two new sizes, the two smallest Makos carry on from the previous 'MiniMako' of previous years. With the chop destroying concave of the larger Makos, these boards are aimed towards the kiteboarder with tender knees that is getting tired of the aches and pains normally associated with conventional twintip riding.
